Unlike our previous FX racks, which were limited to a small amount of preset modules, Console gives you 30 effects modules to choose from! I think Shreddage 2 can use the Kontakt player which is free, opposed to the full Kontakt license. It's not bad but the articulations really are geared towards metal and rock. It's great for metal, rock, and country, but for r&b, hip hop, and poppier stuff it's not really the best. Welcome to the next generation of virtual guitar instruments!Ĭonsole is our new mixer, modular effects rack, and pedal board, designed to give you full control over your virtual guitar tone. Is it because I'm not using a MIDI keyboard?Īlso, Revalver hpse won't show up in my VST plugins list, despite that I installed it into Image-Line>Plugins>VST.Īlso thanks for the tips AngelcityOutlaw ^^ But for some reason my keyswitches only seem to work when they want to lol. I've given Shreddage 2 a bit of a spin as well seems pretty solid. However, I find that sequencing any sort of playing style beyond that is pretty damn hard. EDIT: Also, the double tracking feature works great in Shreddage II, which is a necessity for that kind of rhythm. Plus, since rock music uses a lot of distortion, differences in velocity aren't as noticeable so you don't have to worry so much about when to play loud or quiet since it's pretty much always loud. Also, with that style, as long as you trigger the keyswitches where you would logically palm-mute, hammer-on, slide etc. A lot of it, in my opinion, has to do with the fact that there is a lot of finger noise and all those subtle details in with the samples. I'd say that in a rock/metal rhythm playing context, it's actually fairly easy to get something that sounds pretty damn convincing without a ton of work. I bought it for the sake of seeing how realistic I could sequence a guitar since I am a guitarist.
